What is inside the directory

The NGOs Eastern Africa Directory has been published by New Dawn Media Services since 2005. It is a working reference for anyone who needs to contact, fund, partner with or sell to organisations in the development sector. Each country has its own section, and within each section organisations are grouped by sector so a reader can move from a general question to a specific shortlist quickly.

Every entry carries the organisation name, physical and postal address, telephone numbers, email address, website and social handles where they exist, the districts, counties or provinces where the organisation actually operates, the sectors it works in, and a profile describing its mission, current programmes and partners. Entries are reviewed with each organisation before publication, which is what makes the contact details usable rather than decorative.
